Woodturning – Elegant Writing Instruments: Fountain, Rollerball and Ballpoint Pens. All my pens use the highest quality components with fine detailing on metal parts. Each pen blank is selected for its beauty and character and then prepared by hand and turned on a wood lathe. Once the desired shape is achieved, the wood blank is finished with CA or Aussie Oil for a durable finish; acrylic blanks are sanded and polished with Magic Juice. The pen blanks are each buffered to a lustrous sheen and assembled with the utmost care and attention to detail. The same care is used to produce other items such as wine bottle stoppers, letter openers, keychains, cell phone accessories, crochet hook sets, seam rippers, birdhouse ornaments, beer tap handles, etc.

I use Polymer Clay because it’s so nice and lightweight. I use paints, powders and chalks to bring my pieces to life and make them colorfully unique. I make earrings, necklaces, rings, bangles and hair pins along with some small table top clay artwork. I’ve been doing your festival for 5 or 6 years now and I just love it. I’ve had a great spot all those years and hope that I would be able to get the same spot as years past.

Savvy Susanne
BOOTH W57
I paint various wood items such as serving trays, lazy susans, signs and more. In addition to hand painting the pieces, I use a variety of mediums
and transfers to embellish the wood with flowers or designs. I was a single mom – raising my now grown daughter on my own. As my daughter ‘Savannah’ approached college, I realized I needed to take my love for painting to the next level and began selling painted furniture which contributed greatly to college expenses. That is when ‘Savvy’ Susanne was born. ‘Savvy’ was chosen not only because I consider myself savvy, but because the purpose behind my work was my daughter , Savannah.

The Attico
BOOTH W9
At The Atticco -We strive to bring forth the rich and unique experience of vibrant colors and lovely fabrics with the art of hand block printing and Shibori tie and Dye on beautiful Scarves In Cotton, Wool, Chiffon and Silk. I source and am the designer- I have been very fortunate to travel extensively over the past two decades and meet like-minded friends in various countries who have inspired me and are constantly working on creating new styles and designs with me. I have worked on these designs to my taste and have handpicked their inspiration to bring them to this platform. My Scarves are designed in my studio in New Jersey and I am proud to support and work with a diverse group of talented artisans belonging to the local communities in India. We work towards the empowerment of these communities. Each piece is individually handcrafted with beautiful techniques passed on through generations.Shibori- This Scarf was created by sewing elaborate patterns into folded Silk, hand dyeing it and then snipping the threads revealing the gorgeous pattern. Wood Block Print- This Scarf is created using the Fascinating Technique of Hand block printing. First the pattern is carved onto a teak wood block-This block is then dipped into dye and firmly pressed onto the fabric. This is dyed with Natural Dyes. Dabu-First a sticky mixture of wheat chaff, clay, and lime is prepared the paste is then stamped on the fabric using a hand-carved wood block. Sawdust is tossed on the pattern to help dry and the scarf is then soaked in a bath of natural Dyes.
