222 CreationsI design torch fired copper enameled jewelry and flame painted copper jewelry. Enamel is powdered glass which is sifted onto a piece of copper and then torch fired. The heat fuses the enamel onto the copper and turns it back into shiny glass! I like to use the technique of sgraffito – which is drawing designs and patterns into the enamel before firing.
Flame painted copper is made by painting designs onto the copper with a torch only and as the copper heats and cools it turns different colors naturally – it’s really amazing!
