Collage Collections was started when, at age 11, Margo was captivated by a small note sent to her parents congratulating them on their new home. The note was actually a small collection of overlapping words, multicolored shapes and images, placed at unexpected angles and positions. Entranced by the unorthodox visual expression of ideas created with an amalgam of colors, objects, words, patterns, she began collecting found scraps of two dimensional illustrations and designs that caught her fancy; bits of wrapping paper, tissue boxes, candy wrappers, photographs and greeting cards, to create visuals of beauty, of fun, of commentary, and love.

Her inspiration comes from her deep beliefs in equity, social justice, and the strength of those who have had to fight daily to receive common decency, lawfulness, respect, and morality.

I hope that my fascination and love of color and form will inspire and move my audiences. ~Margo

Captivated by the unorthodox illustration of the expression of ideas created with an amalgam of objects, words, patterns and colors, Margo began collecting wrapping paper, tissue boxes, candy wrappers, trash, magazines, and greeting cards, to create visuals of beauty, of fun, of commentary, and love. Her inspiration comes from her deep beliefs in equity, social justice, and the strength of those who have had to fight daily to receive common decency, lawfulness, respect, and morality. Her strength comes from her cherished daughters, her family, her students, the dearest of friends, travel, and nature. She hopes that her fascination and love of color and form to create art will inspire and move her audience.
